"So I Send You"

Ministries at Quaker

As the Father has sent me, so I send you.

John 20:21

As disciples of Jesus, we have been sent into our world to do the work of Christ. We do not know when he shall return, but until he comes we’re to be busy ourselves in the kingdom. What should we be doing? The answer to that question is found in the words of our Lord Jesus as he taught us while he lived and dwelt among us in the flesh. It’s important to us that our ministries seek to accomplish things Jesus has expressly asked us to do. For that reason, each of our ministry categories are headed by a statement of Jesus that we believe reflects the importance of that work.

There are of course many good works we could be doing that we’re not. It may be that we need to change what we’re doing to more perfectly reflect Christ’s agenda rather than our own. We’re always open to looking at new ministries, especially if someone is willing to take the lead in that work. However, we believe the work presented here does reflect our attempts to submit to the will of Christ. We hope you can find a way to become involved in the work of Christ here at Quaker Avenue.

If you would like to become involved in any of the ministries below, contact the church office for more information.
